Cannabis Sativa

Hemp versus marijuana

Both hemp and marijuana come from the same plant family: CANNABIS SATIVA. The term ‘hemp’, is used for Cannabis species and varieties used for useful purposes, such as medicine, food, clothing, building materials, fuel, etc. – While the term ‘marijuana’ is exclusively used for ‘recreational use’ of cannabis varieties with psychoactive substances (THC).

The Cannabis Sativa varieties which SANA HEMP uses are Epsilon 68, Fedora 17 & Futura 75. These varieties have been approved by the EUROPEAN UNION
